Watch Me Obsess

The official trailer for Judwaa 2 is officially out, and I have to say, I am both exited and scared for this film. Like most comedies, the tone their trailers express can either be the greatest praise for the whole film, or their doom from the very start. The Judwaa trailer tries to captivate its audience by being loud and in some cases over the top. At least for my taste, the trailer is too loud for me. It gives me too much and it makes me think I will see too little when I actually watch the film. As for some praise? The trailer does make me want to watch this film, especially since I am not familiar with its 1997 buddy starring Salman Khan. I hope this film lives up to this over the top tone and produces some good comedy. All eyes are on actor Varun Dhawan, who will be playing two roles in this film. Hopefully the movie is a good watch and not an overall comedic disaster.

The trailer for the much awaited 8th installment of the Star Wars series is finally here and I am super exited. The teaser works as a teaser because it doesn't give away too much, in fact it gives the Star Wars fandom enough content to speculate on what will be the fate of out beloved characters. We get a glimpse at our heroine, Rey, who seems to be discovering the limits of her own Jedi power, and Luke Skywalker, whom we got a 30 second look in the Force Awakens . We also get  quick look at some of the other characters but it is unknown as to what their role will be as the series moves forward, but I am exited to find out. Like always, the Star Wards trailer if accompanied by a beautiful score in the background that sends shivers down my spine. This film does seem to have a grim look to it, thus following Hollywood's fascination for grim, low contrast films, but hey!, this is just the teaser, so we might get more colorful footage. So they did it! The teaser made me exited...

A TARDIS, A timelord, and a new companion? I'm in!

This is a movie review for the Bollywood Movie, "Dishoom" starting John Abraham and varun Dhawan. When I first saw the trailer for Dishoom, starting John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez and Varun Dhawan, I laughed. The trailer in itself was not constructed very well in my opinion. The movies seemed messy and like it was lacking plot. Heck, the trailer in itself lacked many things to make you exited to watch this film. Sure you had the beautiful faces of our lead actors, but to me, that was not enough to convince me that this was going to be a good movie, or at least one worth spending your money on. Months later after the movie came out I decided to watch it. I have to admit: I was surprised. I’m gonna be honest, Dishoom is not a masterpiece, but it is an entertaining movie. Varun is funny, John knows who his character is and does not try to over act it, and Jaqueline is simply joy to watch on screen. The movie was pretty fast pace, at least compared to ...

There is just so much to talk about this movie. The classic is beloved my many and this one, while it is different and will never live up to the original animated version, this one still reminds those now adults why they loved the classic in the first place. This movie also adds a lot of layers to the tale as old as time. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give this a solid 8.
